Theology Blog #15 Nelson Mandela

                                                                Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was a great man who lived to be 95 years old and will always be remembered in our hearts for the many great things he has accomnplished throughout his lifetime. Although he was inmprisoned for 27 years for fighiting for his rights, he came back stronger and ready to bring South Africa together as a nation from segregation.

He became the president of South Africa and fought for what was right and used the Rugby World Cup as one tactic to bring the South African country together as one. South Africa won the Rugby World Cup in 1995 and that was when every single person in the nation came closer together. He was a great man with great morals and lived a long and memorable life.

Theology Blog #14 Abortion

                                                                          Abortion
I feel that abortion is a very serious topic to speak about. There are many different views on abortion and the catholic view is that we shouldn't have it because it means we are stopping life from being born and that is against the Catholic Church.

In my opinion, I think that the choice is given to the person who is going to have the baby because there are many views on why. I feel that if the baby will be born into poverty and won't have a chance of living a good life or if the baby is going to be born with a disease that is death worthy. Then I think it would be plausible not to have the baby.

Theology Blog #13 Experiencing Resurrection

                                                      Experiencing Resurrection

After reading about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, it blew me away how anyone could do this. Then I finished reading and read that he had died on the the cross for our sins and it was amazing to read that. Jesus died the worst death possible by our own race and did it to forgive us and our sins that we had commited.

I feel that if anyone in the world tried to do what he did right now, they would fail terribly and would barely manage to carry the cross up the mountain. Jesus Christ is the only human that could have done that. He did it for us so that we would be forgiven and able to confess our sins to him so they are forgiven.

Theology Blog #12 Supreme Court considers Religious Prayer at government meetings

Supreme Court to consider Religious Prayer at government meetings

I think that having religious prayer at government meetings wouldn't be a good thing because of the many different religions we have in the world. Also having all these religions in the same room and praying to one certain religion would cause chaos because people wouldn't want to pray and wouldn't come to the meetings.

I think that having these meetings would also hurt the government more than it's already hurt right now. The government should keep the meetings the way they are and not add these religious prayers to their meetings because of the substantial chaos that it would cause.

Theology Blog #11 Abortion

                                                                       Abortion
I think that abortion is a choice for women to make their own. Abortion izn't necessarily the right thing to do in my opinion, but if you need to because of a certain financial or family problem then I think it's ok to do. If you have any of those problems, it would be worse to bring a child into this world having those problems and limiting their chance of survival.

Women shouldn't be forced to have an abortion or be forced to keep it because of what another person says or their husband. In the bible, it says that abortion is wrong, but like I said in my opinion it is ok if you have certain crisis to attend to and not bring that child into this world with those problems.

Theology Blog #10 The Baby of England gets Baptized

The Baby of England gets Baptized
The new baby of the King and Queen of Engalnd being baptized is a great and memorable moment in our history. This baby being baptized shows how the baby is being saved from the repentance and being cleansed from sins that he will commit later on and life. He will also be forgiven for his sins by Jesus.

I feel that the baby of the King and Queen of England is very important and it should have happened if they wanted to be good Catholics. I hope that they will keep on doing what they do and be good Catholics throughout their years as a family.

Theology Blog #9 What Archaeology tells us about the Bible

What Archaeology tells us about the Bible
There have been multiple historical foundings around the world relating back to the Bible and it shows how much history the Bible gives us. Archaeology is very important because it helps us to depict and find many new items or artifacts that relate to the Bible.

The most historical artifacts have been found in Israel because that is where we see most of the stories in the Bible have taken place. Some archaeologists have found ruins and believe they have found a biblical realm of King David from over 3,000 years ago. It's just fascinating what people find and how it can relate to the bible.
