Theology Blog #6 Chemical Warfare in the Middle East

Chemical Warfare in the Middle East
The chemical warfare in the Middle East is very serious and still ongoing. This war is not good moraly and it should stop. I feel like this war is going to destroy many countries in the Middle East not only physically, but also financialy.

This war could have been prevented very easily because people were just sitting around and didn't do anything about it. This war is killing many people and injuring many of them greatly. I feel that if we pray, God will help us and we can figure this out safely with not too much more damage.

Theology Blog #5 What Makes Jerusalem so Sacred

                                                        What Makes Jerusalem so Sacred
Jerusalem is known as the basis for three important religions. Those three religions are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. I think Jerusalem is very sacred because of the religious history it has to offer. Jerusalem has been where Jesus was born and the main place that the Bible speaks about in each different type of religion that I listed.

Jerusalem is also known as probably the oldest city before Damascus. Jerusalem just has so much history to provide and that's what makes it sacred. The most important reason that Jerusalem is sacred is because in all three stories, Jesus Christ is born in Bethlehem in Jerusalem which automatically makes it sacred.

Theology Blog #4 New Age Theology

                    New Age Theology

The New Age movement is a strong religious movement that can be characterized by its lack of absolutes. So many people can believe just about anything and fit within the New Age community, it's an extremely hard movement to characterize by example. Many beliefs of the New Age derive from Hindu beliefs and many other Asian continental regions.

David Smith, one of the leaders of the New Age has pointed out common beliefs that seem to predominate the movement as a whole. They are Pantheism, Reincarnationism, Esotericisim, and Relativism. To understand the New Age of theology in our western culture we have to look at sociological influences that have resulted in our shiftIng worldview. The New Age is a different form of theology and rapidly growing.

Theology Blog #3 The Rapture: Truth or Speculation?

                                               The Rapture: Truth or Speculation?

Recently there has been a lot of renewed speculation about topics relating to the rapture. The idea is that Jesus will return to Earth and secretly take or "rapture" all Christians while leaving the rest of humanity to suffer through a long period of turmoil in which all evil prevail. This is known as "the Great Tribulation." Many serious students have questioned what alternatives there might be to such widespread popular belief in a rapture of the church.

No one can really say if rapture is real because there aren't many alternative views to this concept of rapture. The biblical answer to this question is simply: we do not know. It says that there is a second coming in the bible and that God will not forever leave this world. Rapture is a very vague theological topic because of the little information we know about it, but people will still believe.

Theology Blog #2 The Modern Inerrancy Debate

                                                 The Modern Inerrancy Debate

Many theologians today feel that the word "inerrant" or "inerrancy" has changed its meaning. They believe that in many contexts it has become a shibboleth in promoting certain ideological agendas. They think that people are using the word as means to divide and judge other Christians to the point where a debate occurs. This is a huge problem.

In the larger social and cultural scene, the whole concept of the inerrancy of scripture may actually be having the opposite effect than may intend. It's supposed to affirm the authority and value of Scripture. The result has been that in many cases beyond the narrow circles of those who promote the concept, it has weakened the credibility of Scripture. It has also created tremendous controversy.
