The Rapture: Truth or Speculation?
Recently there has been a lot of renewed speculation about topics relating to the rapture. The idea is that Jesus will return to Earth and secretly take or "rapture" all Christians while leaving the rest of humanity to suffer through a long period of turmoil in which all evil prevail. This is known as "the Great Tribulation." Many serious students have questioned what alternatives there might be to such widespread popular belief in a rapture of the church.
No one can really say if rapture is real because there aren't many alternative views to this concept of rapture. The biblical answer to this question is simply: we do not know. It says that there is a second coming in the bible and that God will not forever leave this world. Rapture is a very vague theological topic because of the little information we know about it, but people will still believe.
